Insomnia is a treatable condition using acupuncture treatment methods, however it might require multiple treatments before the condition is fully resolved. That said, there are plenty of cases where insomnia is resolved using just one treatment at our clinic – but this varies from person to person, as each case is unique when resolving conditions.
Treatment involves acupuncture needling techniques, and sometimes may involve you changing life style and habits, depending on the diagnosis you are given when you first walk in for a consultation.
Acupuncture treatment for Insomnia is painless and does not hurt when acupuncture needles are used – as these needles are ultra thin needles, it is often the case the patient does not even know the needle is inserted.
Acupuncture treatment for insomnia often takes 30 to 40 minutes, but can be slightly more or less. Patients often fall asleep on the treatment table, and it would be a good idea to have time after treatment to go home and catch up on sleep – as initially it would seem like now the patient is sleeping too much, but they are merely needing that amount to recover from the lack of sleep they have had.
More details of this will be explained before and after treatment as this varies patient to patient, and each case can be different.
